Spray Collar: Cease Nuisance Dog Barking

We all know that dog's bark. It's their way of communicating but some of us find ourselves dealing with nuisance dog barking which is when a spray collar can be a useful device to have. A spray collar is nothing more than a simple piece of dog training equipment that is used to teach dogs to stop incessant barking.

A spray collar uses a citronella spray that is completely harmless to humans, animals and the environment. It is 100% safe. Citronella is an oil that is extracted from the citronella plant and is completely natural.

Many people are already familiar with citronella because there are citronella products on the market that are used to keep insects away. There are citronella sprays, candles and other things that are used on the skin and around our backyards to prevent bug bites. A spray collar can be very effective in teaching your dog to stop nuisance barking. They're effective because dogs don't like the scent of the spray and dog owners like them because they are pet-friendly in that they don't "shock" your animal.

The length of time it takes your dog to stop barking may vary, but generally it happens very quickly because they'll associate their barking with getting sprayed in the snout making them not want to bark.

Keep in mind though, that dogs communicate through barking. Not all barking is nuisance barking. Dogs may also bark if they're lonely or if they're experiencing pain and they will bark to protect themselves or if they sense danger. For this reason, it's a good idea to avoid making your dog wear a spray collar at all times.
